August is National Golf Month.  Try to get back into the swing of things by going for a game of 18 holes.  The second week in August is National Smile week.  So show off your beautiful Century smile.  If you don’t have a Century smile and would like one, remember Century Orthodontics offers complimentary consultations. Please just give us a call.  August 1st is respect your parents day. Remember to wear your favorite sunglasses this August and receive extra coins.   In September we are celebrating school pride so wear your school colors or logo and receive an extra coin.

Joy of summer

Celebrate your summer by bringing a disposable camera everywhere you go.  This way you can snap a picture of the first day of camp, a funny face painting, or a fantastic firework display.

Did you know?

Our brains are cross-wired.  The left hemisphere (right hand control) controls speech, language, writing, logic, mathematics, and science. It is the linear thinking mode. The right hemisphere (left hand control) controls music, art, creativity, perception, emotions, and genius. It is the holistic thinking mode. 10 to 15 percent of humankind is left-handed.

Picnic Time Again!

August 31st is eat outside day.  So take your meals outdoors and enjoy the sunlight and maybe even catch a few rays before you make your way back into work or school.

Grandparent’s Day


Grandparent’s Day is September 10th the first Sunday after Labor Day.  What a great time to visit the Grandparents and show them what a beautiful  Century smile you have.

Spicy Foods

This month is spicy food month.  To help spice up September, we have some recipes with lots of bite!  Find them in our recipe book in the waiting room.


August 12th is a day to give thanks.  Please remember to thank all the people who were kind to you! 


Toothbrush Buddy

Does a toddler you know not like to brush their teeth?  Well, here is a great idea to help him/her get clean healthy teeth and gums.  Have a sock puppet brush the toddler’s teeth for them.  First, let the child brush the puppet’s teeth, and then its time for the puppet to brush the child’s teeth.  This a great way to get a child interested in having good oral hygiene.

Summer Dental Work

If you are traveling out of the country, you should consider seeing your regular dentist to have a check up and a cleaning and to make sure all your dental work is up to date.  While you are out of the country, you may have a hard time finding dental professional if you have a dental emergency.  It may also be very expensive and limit your vacation experience.

Elvis

The 2nd week of August is Elvis week, the king of rock’n’roll.  This king really knew how to shake his hips and wow a crowd of screaming beautiful girls.  This crowd pleaser was known for his handsome looks and his way with music and dance style.  Remember him this week by playing one of his songs.

Summer Scavenger Hunt
 Century Orthodontics is hosting a summer scavenger hunt to all of our patients.  The hunt began May 1st and ends September 30th.  All entries must be in before Sept. 30th.  The entries can be mailed, e-mailed, face booked, or hand delivered at your appointment.
